comScore Media Metrix （アメリカのインターネット視聴率ランキング）2009年11月データがリリースされたとのこと。せっかくなのでグラフにしてみました。
なお、ComScoreのデータはパネルと調査により作られた独自データだそうでTechnoratiMediaの月間UVは2760万とされていますがTechnorati自身の調べでは全世界で1.25億あり、うち2/3はアメリカ国内のUnique visitorだとのこと。
Note: comScore audience measurements are based on a combo of panel and census data, and is the most widely used third party measurement for the online advertising industry; Technorati Media's actual worldwide traffic is well over 125 million unique visitors per month, with two thirds being US traffic.
というわけで数値自体はあまり信用しないことにしつつ、サービス間比較と期間比較を見ていきたいと思います。
なお、この数値はあくまで「アメリカのトラフィックのみ」、そしてこのデータはあくまで「カンバセーショナル／ソーシャルメディアのみ」です。（それ以外のYahooやらGoogleやらもいるトータルインターネットランキングは別にあります）
こちらが11月のデータ。Facebookが圧倒的。Facebook以前の時代はみんなが使っていたMySpaceと、日本ではあまり使われていないがアメリカでは利用者（およびスパムブログ）が非常に多いBloggerが次点グループ。続いてWordpress、TechnoratiMedia、Twitter、LinkedIn等がランクイン。FMPublishingとBetawaveはアドネットワークなので参加ブログの増減によるわけですが5月にTechCrunchがFMPublishingを離れたなあとか思い出します。Classmatesは学校ベースのSNS。
ちなみに同じデータの今年の3月版がこちら。この頃はまだMySpaceの方がFacebookより上位だったんですね。あっというまに追い抜かれています。この頃はTwitterもLinkedInもベストテンに入っていなかったと。classmates.comが5位っていうのがちょっと意外でしたがやはり11月には10位まで落ちています。
11月データの順でソートのまま、3月と11月のデータを一個のグラフにしてみました。こうして見るとFacebookの伸びは顕著、Unique Visitorが減少してしまっているMySpaceが目立つ。BloggerやWordpressのようなブログ系は増えてはいるものの鈍化していて、まだ絶対数は少ないもののTwitterやLinkedInは伸びてるなあと。
日本ではFacebookはまだまだ全然プレゼンスがないし、Bloggerも殆ど使われていないし、Technoratiは日本のオペレーションをやめてしまったし、LinkedInは上陸していない、逆にTwitterは最近勢いづいていてMySpaceはミュージシャンの間ではデフォルトとのことで、だいぶ見え方が違いますが、アメリカでの現状はこういうことで。データ範囲を「世界」にするとますますFacebookが強くなって南米で使われているOrkutとか中国のQQNetとかヨーロッパ系のSNSとかが入ってくるのかなと。
